Terrace of the Elephants is an impressive, two and a half meter tall, 300-meter-long terrace wall adorned with carved elephants and gradual that spans the heart of Angkor Thom in front of Baphuon - huge temple mountain in the heart of Angkor Thom, Royal Palace Area and Phimeanakas - impressive rite and sandstone pyramid. Terrace of the Leper King is at the north end of the Terrace of the Elephants, a double terrace wall with deeply carved nags, demons and other mythological beings. Lastly you will visit Ta Prohm temple which is a wonderful combination of human genius and natural beauty! Giant trees have grown here for centuries.
Afternoon we visit Angkor Wat temple; the founder of the temple was Suryavarman II who reined Cambodia from 1113 to 1152 and built the five towers in the 12th century to dedicate to the Hindu God Vishnu. The plan of the pyramidal conception of the temple combined with spaces, alleys, and ditches is an ancient masterpiece of architectural design and construction. It is time to for a romantic sunset view. Have funny time at bars and pubs at Angkor night market! Overnight in Siem Reap
After breakfast, we visit Small Circuit including visit Prasat Kravan was originally constructed by noblemen rather than a king. Banteay Kdei was built in sandstone, which has deteriorated quite badly. However, there remain some very beautiful lintels and pediments. Srah Srang is a royal pool was the King's bathing pond, where he washed with his many concubines each day. Takeo - King Suryavarman I commissioned this temple in the 10th Century, but it was never completed so has no elaborate decoration like its contemporaries. It is a pyramid on 5 levels and is dedicated to Shiva. Thommanon - small attractive temple in very good condition, built at the same time as Angkor Wat. Chau Say Tevoda was built during the second quarter of the 12th century opposite of Thommanon, it was dedicated to Shiva and Vishnu.
Afternoon overland trip to visit the highlights of the Grand Circuit including: Preah Khan - meaning The Sacred Sword, this temple was also built by Jayawarman VII and is famous for its immensely long cruciform corridors and delicate carvings. Neak Pean - This temple is a delicate highlight of Khmer art. Built by Jayavarman VII, this temple is the perfect representation of the heavens on earth. Ta Som was a small classic Bayon style monastic complex consisting of a relatively flat enclosure. East Mebon was built in the 10th Century by Rajendravarman; this temple was situated on a small island in the middle of the Oriental, or Eastern, Baray. Last visit Pre Rup was built in the 10th Century by Rajendravarman. Overnight in Siem Reap
Early in the morning, you will transfer to see Sunrise at Angkor Wat temple and then return to hotel for breakfast.
Today your tour includes visit Banteay Srei, loosely translates to “citadel of the women, but this is a modern appellation that probably refers to the delicate beauty of the carvings. On the way we will visit people doing palm sugar before continuing to visit the Landmine Museum and Banteay Samre - large, comparatively flat temple displaying distinctively Angkor style architecture and artistry.
Afternoon visit Roluos group, was one of the earliest Angkor capitals, built by King Indravarman and originally called Hariharalaya. Today there are three Hindu sanctuaries: Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei. All three temples were built of brick and though they are not as spectacular as the other temples of Angkor, they are well preserved and worth a visit to offer the visitor a chronological perspective on the development of Angkor. Roluos is 11km east of Siem Reap on National Highway 6 to Phnom Penh. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Buying jasmine and lotus flowers to worship is very important for the Cambodians. Then visit Wat Thmei (Killing Field) contains a unique glass-walled stupa containing the bones of victims of the Khmer Rouge. Some of the bones were recovered from a nearby well while others are the remains of soldiers who died on a nearby battlefield. Last visit Made in Cambodia Market brings together the most exciting examples of craftsmanship in Cambodia today. The main philosophy behind the Made in Cambodia Market is to Help Create Khmer Jobs; from the villagers producing the Handicrafts to the sellers interacting with the visitors. Overnight in Siem Reap
The last but not least day will be a long journey west to a small county at the foot of the Phnom Kulen Mountain. It was the spring of a canal run to the great Tonle Sap Lake, which probably used to transfer sandstone and wooden blocks to build up the Angkorian monuments. Phnom Kulen is a holy mountain for Cambodian pilgrimage. We will see 1000 carvings in the sandstone 10cms under the water level, highlighted with Hindu God Vishnu and lotus flower. You will visit Waterfall and Grand Recycling Buddha.
Last turn to visit Kbal Spean temple – there are also carving of Buddha and Buddhist images in the rock that date from a later period than the lingas. The original River of Thousand Lingams, Kbal Spean is an intricately carved riverbed deep in the foothills of the Cambodian jungle. Lingams are phallic representations sacred to Brahmanism as symbols of fertility, and hundreds of them are carved into the rock here, as are several carvings of gods and animals above the small waterfall. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Early breakfast at the hotel, then we will leave from the hotel around 6.30 AM and we will depart for Tonle Sap Lake connect the private boat trip to view The Floating Village at Meychrey and continue to Prek Toal Village. This is the Place of nature tourism of Bird Sanctuary in the middle part of Tonle Sap Lake. Tonle Sap is the largest lake in Southeast Asia and during the wet season the rising water level of the Mekong River backs up into the lake causing the lake to grow from 2500sq km to more than 13,000sq km. This seasonal flow of water also moves vast quantities of nutrients making Tonle Sap an incredibly rich spawning grounds for fish. The lake is the largest inland fishery in the world. Once we arrive at the lake we will board our motor-powered sampan for the journey to Prek Toal Bird Sanctuary. Along the way we will wind through floating villages and flooded forests and have a chance to observe the different fishing methods used on the lake. We will have a packed lunch with us. The bird sanctuary and biosphere reserve of Prek Toal protects some of the rarest water birds in Southeast Asia and if we are lucky, we could see both lesser and greater adjutant storks, spot-billed pelicans, milky storks and perhaps even a saris crane. Besides the big wading birds the sanctuary is home to a host of other bird species, and the concentrations can be staggering. We will return to Siem Reap in the early evening for overnight.
Last but not least, we then head into the bush to the remote Angkor capital of Koh Ker. In the 10th century Jayavarman IV (928-942) fell out with his family, stormed off to the northwest and established the rival capital of Koh Ker. Although it was the capital for just 15 years, Jayavarman IV left a legacy of 30 major temples and some gargantuan sculpture that is on display in the National Museum in Phnom Penh. We visit Prasat Thom, a seven-storey step pyramid, more Mayan than Khmer, with commanding views over the surrounding forest, nearby Prasat Krahom or Red Temple and other temples, including the five towers of Prasat Ling, each enclosing a giant Linga or fertility symbol, the biggest and best found in situ anywhere in Cambodia.
Last, we travel to the lost temple of Beng Mealea, the titanic of temples, a slumbering giant lost for centuries in the forests of Cambodia. It is the most accessible of Angkor’s lost temples, a mirror image of Angkor Wat, but utterly consumed by the voracious appetite of nature. Constructed by Suryavarman II in the 12th century, the builder of Angkor Wat, the forest, has run riot here and it is hard to get a sense of the monument’s shape amid the daunting ruins. Return to hotel and evening enjoy 1 hour body massage at Cool Sense Spa / Sonya Spa after long visit. Overnight in Siem Reap.
